Happy Healthy Feet

Do you wish you could have pain free strong feet? You can be on your way after this 2 hour workshop. The health of your feet are closely related to the health of your hips and knees. We will discuss how shoes effect your foot health, you will learn how to strengthen and increase mobility in your foot, legs and hips. You will learn self-care techniques that you can apply regularly at home. You will leave with a tool box of skills to help you to have Happy Healthy Feet!


April is National foot health Awareness Month, perfect time for you to give your feet some love. This class is taught by Heather Josten a Nutritious Movement ™ certified Restorative Exercise Specialist. She has trained with Katy Bowman the author of “ Simple steps to Foot Pain Relive”, “Whole Body Barefoot” and many more. Join us in the NEW MovNat Denver space. Prenatal Restorative Exercise

Restorative Exercise is a movement based program created to help you find your weak spots and fill them in with corrective exercises. Our bodies have adapted to the conveniences of modern living, which means many areas of our body have become weak and stuck. Come move your way through this introductory series and learn what Restorative Exercise is and how it can help you become stronger, more supple and ready to give birth. Each class will be unique and can be targeted toward those attending.

#1: Intro to Prenatal Restorative Exercise - Pelvic Floor and Low Back. In this class we will focus on all the areas of the body that affect the pelvis and low back health. Do you have pubic symphysis pain? This class will help you learn ways to help stabilize your pelvis. Do you have sciatic like pain? We will work on that too! We will work to strengthen and stretch these areas in a way you have not done before.

#2: Intro to Prenatal Restorative Exercise –Neck and Shoulders, Arms and Hands. In this class we will work to relieve your neck and shoulder tension that comes from carrying a growing baby. Are you currently struggling with numbness and tingling in your hands? These exercises will help to make that go away! We will also prepare your arms for the load of carrying a newborn. You will learn exercises that will help you now and through your postpartum time.

#3: Intro to Prenatal Restorative Exercise Whole Body - Hips and Shoulders. In this class we will do a little of everything. Our main focus will be to open the hips and legs to prepare for childbirth and open the chest and shoulders to prepare for all that baby care.


Heather Josten is a Certified Prenatal and Postpartum Massage Therapist. She has supported many woman over the years. She is also a Nutritious Movement™ Certified Restorative Exercise Specialist. Whole Body Health – 8 week - Thursday Mornings

In this 8-week series we will have classes that focus on opening the shoulder girdle, relieving neck tension, opening and strengthening the hips and legs, foot and pelvic floor health and more. Each class will be unique and help to benefit your whole body.

As a culture we spend a lot of time sitting in the same position - sitting in your car; sitting at your desk; and sitting at home. Our bodies have made changes to accommodate all the sitting. Many people say that aches and pains are a normal part of aging. But really, as we age we, just tend to move less. If you continued to move as you did when you were a child you would not feel the same aches and pains as others your age.

Lets create a community that is playful, stays young and moves more together. In this series we will discuss many ways to bring more movement into your day. We believe you will be stronger and feel great when the series is over.

You will need a yoga mat, comfortable clothing you can move in, and bare feet. We will stretch and move and strengthen many areas of your body!

Heather Josten is the owner of Abundant Balance and has been a Licensed massage therapist for 20 years. She specializes in working with women pre-conception, prenatal and postpartum. Recently she has become a certified Restorative Exercise Specialist by Katy Bowman of Nutritious Movement. This means that Heather can help you to fill in your weak spots with corrective exercises so you can have a stronger more functional body. #adultclasses

• This series will benefit postpartum mamas, pregnant women, seniors, women in the preconception stage, and athletes
